Worship

Get to know the worship leaders at Greater Things 2021 and learn about the worship training track.

Worship is central in the life of the believer, and we believe in creating space for encounter in our conferences. As Dr. Randy Clark has said, worship leaders have just as much a role in partnering with the presence of God to see the miraculous as preachers. Through both our times of corporate worship and the intimate worship in the Prayer Furnace, we want to posture ourselves to expect Greater Things as we magnify Jesus and partner with the presence of God.

This year, for the first time, we are offering a Worship Track for worship leaders to learn from Martin Smith and UPPERROOM. More than just worshiping at an event, we encourage worship pastors and their teams to join us during the breakout sessions in the afternoons. These sessions will be a specific time for you and your team to receive practical and spiritual equipping. Join the worship track and learn how to develop your own voice in worship and cultivate the presence of God.

Worship Leaders

Martin Smith

Martin Smith is an English vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter. Smith was the frontman of the Christian rock band Delirious?. Some of the most recognized songs by Delirious? include “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever,” “History Maker,” “My Glorious,” “Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?,” “Shout To The North,” “Deeper,” “Majesty (Here I Am),” and “What a Friend I’ve Found”. In 1995, Smith was involved in a near-fatal car accident, and during the weeks of his recovery, he decided to become a full-time musician. This inspired him to write the song “August 30,” which appeared on the King of Fools album from Delirious?. Smith was one of the founding members of Delirious? along with Stewart Smith (no relation) and Tim Jupp, when they formed the band as The Cutting Edge. Smith is now a solo artist and his debut album, God’s Great Dance Floor, was released in the beginning of April 2013.

Upperroom

Called to gather the Lord’s people daily for corporate worship, praise, thanksgiving, adoration, and intercession through song and scripture, UPPERROOM opened its doors without much fanfare. Today, people around the globe are singing their songs, and around 100 vocalists, songwriters, and musicians contribute their talents to leading people in worship three times a day, six days a week.

He is Worthy
There is only one found worthy. His name is Jesus.
You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.
    Revelation 5: 9-10

    Prayer Furnace

We know the power of prayer and believe that when we pray, things change. Through prayer and intercession, we participate in what Jesus bought for us with His life– access to the throne of grace and relationship with our Father.

Because of our value for prayer, we want to create a space for prayer and intercession during Greater Things. In between the sessions, we will host a Prayer Furnace in a private room to provide a more intimate setting for people to gather and worship the King. We welcome you to join us, bend Heaven’s ear and partner with what God is releasing throughout our time together.
